Fuzzy’s Taco Shop Review

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is the new hit restaurant in Parker, Colorado. It opened on October 21, 2019. It is a Texas-Mexican style restaurant, also known as a tex-mex restaurant. Fuzzy’s opens mid-morning and closes from 10PM-12AM, depending on the day. This new restaurant has a lot of bright lights and colors that make it stand out. When you walk in, you stand in line and read the menu. Once you order, you get a buzzer and a receipt and find somewhere to sit. When the buzzer goes off, you give it to one of the employees and they will give you your tray of food at the yellow wall.

At Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, I ordered fajita chicken nachos($7.99), a fajita chicken taco($2.99), chips and guacamole($3.99), and a souvenir cup($2.79). The employees were on their feet and helping people if they needed it. They were very kind and brought the trays to the table since they were heavy. Every 10-15 minutes or so, one of the employees would come by and ask how everything was and if we needed anything.

The fajita chicken nachos were very flavorful. They were topped with fajita chicken, queso, feta, shredded cheese, garlic sauce, and pico de gallo. They had just enough spice but not too much. At 8:00, the line filled the entrance and we waited for about 15 minutes. There was a little bit of a struggle when finding somewhere to sit because the restaurant was very full. The guacamole that came with the chips was very fresh and enjoyable. The chips also come with a spice on it called “Fuzzy Dust”, made of paprika, spices, salt, onion powder, and sugar. It is sprinkled on top of the tortilla chips and it adds a lot of flavor to them.

This new tex-mex restaurant is similar to Chili’s. Chili’s is also a Texas-Mexican style restaurant and they serve similar items. Both restaurants sell a different variety of tacos and have starters such as chips and guacamole, salsa, or queso. These restaurants are both open late on some days as well. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is also similar to some modern restaurants like Red Robin. These restaurants are bright and colorful and updated.

If you are planning on ordering tacos from the awesome Tacos menu, I recommend purchasing 1 or 2 tacos. The tacos are not super big and not enough to be one meal. I definitely recommend buying the chips and guacamole as a starter because they were delicious and the guacamole was very fresh. The starter chips were a good side and did not fill you up too much.
