The movie Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald, the second movie of the Fantastic Beasts series, was released to theaters on November 16, 2018.

The fantasy movie drew all Harry Potter and fans of the first movie into a wild ride that displays the amazing imagination of J.K. Rowling. The movie has magical creatures, enchanting places, and beautiful but dangerous spells.

Eddie Redmayne plays the lead role of Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Porpentina (Tina) Goldstein, and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski. As well as a large number of magical creatures sure to amaze.

The story follows the plot of the infamous Grindelwald, a dangerous wizard, escaping from prison. Newt Scamander is asked by Albus Dumbledore to stop him from gaining more followers and recapture him.

After a long time, Newt agrees and sets off to find Tina so she can help him find Grindelwald. Along the way they come across friends, foes, and of course beasts and creatures.

I had really high hopes for this movie after I really enjoyed the first one. I, as well as the people I went and saw it with, thought that the plot was a little all over the place and was pretty confusing.

We all agreed, that for big Harry Potter fans, the movie is amazing. It has the magic and spells they want, the characters they miss, and the creatures they want.

But, for any moviegoer that enjoys a good movie, it’s not good. The plot is confusing, and although the animation and setting is beautiful it is distracting. They introduce characters that don’t have much purpose or role and overall it’s hard to understand.

As a big Harry Potter fan, but also a fan of really good movies, I thought it was worth seeing but wouldn’t see it again.

I was pretty disappointed because I had the same hopes and expectations for this one as I did the first movie. Unfortunately, I was let down and clinging on for that amazing ending I really wanted but never got.

I think, that if you’ve seen and really liked the first movie, go see it. The magic is beautiful and mesmerizing, the same characters are there and there are even more creatures.

But, if you haven’t seen the first one and aren’t a big Harry Potter fan, skip it. Maybe wait for the next one to come out, of which I have higher hopes for.
