On November 2 from 6:00-7:00 PM, there was a meeting for 7th grade students and their parents to discuss the Washington D.C. trip next year.

This meeting took place at Sierra for parents to learn about the details of the trip including registration information, planned tours, our travel partner, safety of the trip, why the trip is important, and the total cost.

Molly Nichols said that she wants to go on this trip because of all the amazing things to see, but she will have to choose between this trip or an international one.

The tour leader, Jed Palmer, has lead many previous student trips including ones to DC, Boston, and Orlando.

“I consider myself a veteran in student travel,” Jed Palmer said.

This trip comes with many perks such as learning to be more independent, learning how to pack efficiently, seeing amazing sites of American history, and meeting new people while still being around your friends. In fact, you get to pick your roommates at the hotel.

“I thought it was really interesting that you could pick your own roommates,” Alex Daniels said.

Any student that goes on this trip will get to see wonderful sights and leave with new knowledge to apply through life.
