On February 22nd, Chaparral came to Sierra and held a Wish Week assembly.

Wish week is when Chaparral picks a student with a serious illness, and grants them their one big wish. The name of the kid being picked this year will be released in about two weeks. During the assembly, the students led Sierra in multiple chants, and told them exactly what Wish Week was about.

A promo video was played, showing pictures of the previous Wish Weeks, and all of the kids they have done this for. Not only Chap is doing this, many high schools, like Ponderosa, are participating in this event.

“It was fun, we got to do a lot of activities with the Chaparral students,” Becca Lewis said.

Sierra is also supporting Wish Week with a spirit week of our own. On Monday, the 26th, we are doing a meme day, when you dress up as your favorite meme. On Tuesday, we are doing a twin day, when you and your bestie try and look alike. On Wednesday, we are doing hat day. Thursday is throwback Thursday, and Friday is flannel Friday, and Krispy Kreme donuts are being sold. All of these cost $1-$5.

Wish week is a very important time, and its important that we raise money for this cause.
