On February 26, 2018 Sierra Middle School principal assigned Meme Day to spirit Week so kids could increase spirits in the school. The students and teachers could dress up as their favorite memes.

Sometimes during Meme Day kids will make references to what’s on the internet like John Cena or Ugandan Knuckles. Some costumes don’t even have to be very creative they could just be a face.

“Internet memes are everywhere on the web these days and they’ve only grown stronger over the past decades,” Lifewire said.

During a school year Meme Day usually occurs in the beginning or at the end of the year. Meme Day can sometimes occur in the middle of the year.

Olympian High School Seniors said that they had a senior spirit week to get them all hyped up for the end of the year activities that were coming.

Meme Day is a fun and exciting day for kids because they got to dress up and be judged for how good their costume was.
