Auditions for the Madagascar Jr. musical were held on January 30th in the cafeteria after school.

Many students that were interested in theater went to the auditions where many different activities were performed.

“I had been wishing the best of luck to everyone who had auditioned. I was so grateful to be able to audition with amazing people,” said Lizzy Salter.

Everyone who auditioned had to learn a portion of a song, a portion of a dance, and a monologue that they had to perform individually on stage for the judges. Many of the auditioners had learned some of the songs and dances previously in an audition workshop provided a week before the auditions.

“Auditions were a little stressful, but after learning more about the songs it helped me a lot, but my favorite part was the monologue,” said Audrey Lawrence.

“Auditions went so well! Everyone did so amazing and it was so much fun. I’m glad that I auditioned,” said Lizzy Salter.

Call backs will be posted on the call board tomorrow on January 31st for anyone who the judges would like to see again.
