Sierra’s theater program had performed their production of Madagascar Jr. on April 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Sierra drama students had been working on the play for about two months, doing things from practicing the songs, learning dances and blocking scenes. There was a lot of work put into creating a fun show.

“It was a lot of fun, with crazy dance numbers and a great cast. The stage and tech crew were amazing and the director did a lot to help this musical become what is was!” Audrey Lawrence, who played Private the Penguin said.

The show featured many characters such as Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the Hippo, Melman the Giraffe, Mason the Monkey and King Julien.

“This was one of the best things I’ve ever done!” Hannah Webb, who played a zookeeper, a server and a lemur, said.

The musical will be one of the last school performances this year, the last one being the upcoming Thespian one act.
