Tell me about one of your favorite things to do.

I love to play hockey, specifically hockey tournaments.

Why do you like playing in tournaments?

My team and I get to go stay up in a hotel and we have a lot of fun hanging out and messing around. We are all super close and hang out a lot and it makes it that much better. We also get a lot of good food like Froot Loops that I never get at home.

How long have you been playing hockey?

I have been playing since I was five years old. I played roller hockey when I was younger, and now I play ice hockey. I switched to playing ice hockey with my brother so that we could play together.

What’s your favorite part about playing the game?

My favorite part would be playing with my team. I want to do great every time we play so that we can win and make my team happy. I haven’t been playing with them for very long, only since September because we switch teams every season, but it doesn’t make a difference.

How has Covid 19 affected your season?

So far they have canceled two of our tournaments and postponed all of the games this season. Chances are we won’t be able to make up for the games we missed. Our team also can’t do our weekly workout together anymore, we have to do it on our own at home.  We also used to have skills practices with other teams twice a month, but those got canceled as well.

What are your hopes for your future in hockey?

I hope to keep playing for as long as I can. I hope I don’t get hurt either because I haven’t had a serious injury yet. But, because hockey gets more intense as you get older, you get hit more and harder, it gets more likely that I will get hurt. Women’s college and professional hockey options are very limited, but I don’t want to stop playing. I’d like to play in an adult league just for fun so that I can keep playing till I can’t anymore.
