What you will need for this recipe:

  • 1 ¼ cups of all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 pinches salt
  • ½ cup honey (optional)
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • ½ cup vanilla chips
  • ½ cup confectioners sugar

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350* F
  • Whisk together flour, white sugar, baking soda, and salt into a bowl.
  • Beat honey, milk, butter, and vanilla extract together in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Stir the flour mixture into the honey mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate and vanilla chips.
  • Roll the dough into walnut-size balls and place 2 inches apart onto nonstick baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes.
  • Allow cookies to cool, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.

(To add a valentines day twist, add red food coloring into the dough, and cut into heart shapes before placing in the oven!)
